The Willows of Waterloo Region

The Willows of Waterloo Region are these amazing, huge, shapely trees that line the banks of the Grand River.

I am a forester first and foremost, so I love trees. The willows that I see growing near where I live are very unique in Canada. I have never seen so many HUGE willows growing in such abundance. Especially near the banks of the Grand River, the willows are massive, the trunks are immense, and the trees are as wide as they are tall. Enjoy these photos of willows of Waterloo Region along the banks of the Grand River.
